Speaking in Bungoma county on Friday, the leaders from Western and North Rift regions claimed the three rebel Jubilee MPs, Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Silas Tiren (Moiben) and Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany) were liking DP Ruto to the maize scam because they have been instructed to do so by Raila and Senator Moi.

"This action where three Members of Parliament are going around,  accusing Deputy President William Ruto, is coming from Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and ODM leader Raila Odinga," claimed one of the politicians from the Western region.

Similar sentiments were shared by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who pointed out that the country needs people of actions and not storytellers.

"This country does not need gossipers, proverbs people and too many talks without actions. There are people who talk too much and cannot even buy a short for a child," noted Sudi, a close ally of the DP.

They were speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony for Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa.

The maize issue has raised political temperatures in the North Rift especially after the three lawmakers called for the investigation of DP Ruto over his involvement in the maize scam.
