Kisumu County Deputy Governor Mathiew  Ochieng' Owili has declared that rogue contractors will not be paid until they complete the contracts they were awarded.

Speaking during the burial of mother to former Senatorial aspirant Ocholla Ogoda in Muhoroni on Saturday, Owili noted that some contractors working in Kisumu have done shoddy work especially in maintaining the county’s feeder roads.

‘’Some of the contractors are failing us. We cannot invest public funds in a poor job done by rogue contractors. We must seal the loopholes that might waste the taxpayer's money,’’ Retaliated Dr.Owili.

 On behalf of Governor Professor Anyang' Nyong'o, he also assured residents of the county government's commitment to sealing loopholes that aided corruption.

In addition, he said the county government is in a process of rolling out key infrastructural projects within the county.

"The county government is in the process of rolling out key infrastructural projects, strategically anchored in Governor Anyang' Nyongo’s ten-point development agenda", he added.

Other leaders present at the ceremony were the area MCA Genga and South East Nyakach MCA Johnson Guya, Erick Okeyo, Omulo Okal, Former Majority leader Mr Ong’ou among other leaders.
