A former Member of Parliament in Kisii County allied to Jubilee party has landed a new job after spending several months in the political cold.
Ex-Bonchari MP John Opore was appointed as a board member at Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
Opore who served for 15 years as Bonchari MP was shown the door by Bonchari constituents during the August 8, 2017 polls over what they claimed as poor performance.
Mr. Opore who challenged the election of the current MP John Oyioka at the Supreme suffered a blow after the court upheld Oyioka's win.
Locals have now said it is good news for the ex-lawmaker since he will not feel the cold.
"Opore will now serve as a board member at KIMC while he lays strategy to vie in 2022. We wish him well in his new job," said Jared Omboye.
Duncan Nyagaka urged Opore to offer his best in his new job.
"Our ex-MP should give his best while at the KIMC board. Let him focus on other State appointments because he won't win the MP seat in 2022," said Nyagaka.
