Families of the victims of the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 that crashed moments after leaving Addis Ababa Airport are yet to come to terms with the death of their loved ones.
The families have now appealed the state to ensure that they get justice following the tragic incident.
Speaking at KICC in Nairobi during a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the families called for speedy probe into the deaths.
The kin lamented that six months is too long for them to wait for the release of DNA results.
Some of the families have also urged the government to ensure that they are compensated during this moment of trial.
The family of Immaculate Odera has lamented that the state has offered them little support following the tragic incident that claimed the lives of all the 157 passengers who were on board.
Ms Odera’s widower Denis Adhoch pleaded with the government to support them during this time.
They also said that they are grateful after the government provided them with tickets to fly to the site where the accident took place.
Mr Richmond Mureithi, a brother in law of Mr Isaac Mwangi, who was among the victims of the crash, said the government has stood with them at the time they needed help most.
"We are grateful that we were supplied with air tickets to Ethiopia to see the crash site," he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
