Education Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed on Monday released the results for 2018 Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (KCPE) examination.
This came shortly after the candidates sat for the exams hence leaving many questioning the rate at which the exams were marked and released.
Soon after the results were released, the country was in a celebratory mood as schools which posted good results saw parents and students storm the streets to celebrate with their children.
The two top students in the country scored 453 marks.
Rawlings Odhiambo from Kakamega Hill Academy and Olive Mwea from Riara school missed only 47 marks to attain the maximum achievable marks, 500.
In Uasin Gishu, Nancy Kamau Wangoi from Faith Junior Academy in Eldoret emerged the top student in the county after scoring 441 marks.
Queens of Angel Mission school was the top school in the county with a mean grade of 389.8 marks.
