Those who have visited the Facebook pages of Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto with a keen eye have noticed a striking difference in the images uploaded there of their presence in Kisumu on Saturday.
While the deputy president posted himself with the veteran opposition leader trading banter during the installation Reverend Philip Anyolo as Kisumu Archbishop at Uzima Grounds, the DP was nowhere to be seen in images posted by Raila.
It is not clear why Raila failed to upload images of himself with the deputy president in spite of being seen together chatting.
To political pundits, the images are an indication of how the seasoned politicians conceive of each other.
The two are expected to slug it out in the 2022 presidential elections even though Raila Odinga remains reticent about whether he will run.
Scores of Kenyans view the politicians as implacable political adversaries who are plotting the downfall of each other.
Their presence in Kisumu was the subject of tremendous social media chatter.
