Duale says the 2022 political debate is not adding any value to Kenyans.

Speaking during a meeting with Abdwak clan elders on Saturday, Duale pleaded with politicians across the divide to focus on development and service delivery.

The Jubilee MP said there is much elected leaders need to do for Kenyans, adding that continuous and malicious politics is hindering development.

“Elected leaders across the divide must put an end to premature 2022 politics and serve Kenyans,” he said.

Duale asked leaders to take advantage of the political calm in the country and initiate development projects for Kenyans.

He said that 2022 will come  and go, adding that leaders will be judged on what they will have done for Kenyans.

The leader of the majority in the National Assembly asked politicians to back president Uhuru Kenyatta’s ‘Big Four’ development agenda.

He also asked the leaders to support the president as he unites the country.

The 2022 succession politics continues to heat up across the divide.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are on record calling for an end to 2022 succession debate.

Last week, President Kenyatta warned Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) and top government officials against engaging in 2022 succession politics.
