The 2022 general election is not far away, and this is portrayed by the current early campaigns.

Just like the 2007, 2013 and the 2017 general elections, the race will be between two contenders. It will be between whoever the Jubilee Party will support as presidential candidate against the man or woman the opposition wing which opposition leader Raila Odinga will be in support of.

It is not yet known whether Raila will view for the poll. So how will the 2022 Parliament look like?

There is a likelihood that both the ruling Jubilee and the opposition coalition then, (we are still uncertain whether it will be called NASA) will share both Parliamentary seats as well Senate seats equally.

Kenyans have perfected the art of playing politics either on the right or left wings and this was clearly displayed in 2017 when National Assembly seats were shared almost equally with Jubilee beating NASA with a margin of only 44 seats. Jubilee and its affiliate parties currently control 165 seats with NASA boating of 121.

And because the 2022 politics will revolve around change agitators against those out to maintain the status quo, the two rivaling political camps will still scoop almost the same National Assembly seats just like in 2017.

What only remains as a puzzle is which of the two- Uhuru's camp and Raila's camp will garner majority of the posts in the House. This assumption is based on the thinking that Uhuru and Raila will be on different political camps ahead of 2022.
