Two people have been arrested after police raided a witch doctor's house in Tala, Machakos County on Tuesday.
The officers from the Flying Squad department nabbed Anna Mutheu Ndunda, a re-known witchdoctor in Matungulu Sub-county and a man who was not immediately identified.
Musa Yego, the officer who led the operations said the two were arrested in connection to a car theft.
"You've seen the car engines, gearboxes, and everything. We are acting on a lead about car theft, investigations are ongoing. Once we're done, everything will be brought in the open," Yego said.
He addressed reporters at the scene on Tuesday.
Yego said close to 130 National Identification cards belonging to unknown people were recovered from the house during the raid.
"We have not established the reasons behind the identification cards but we will investigate and unravel the mystery behind them being here," he added.
He warned Kenyans against buying cars from the black market stating that most of such vehicles are stolen.
"The public should be very cautious before buying cars from black market because if you buy a car that is stolen, you will be charged in a court of law," Yego said.
Yego urged the locals to report any unusual activities in garages near them either in or outside Matungulu Sub-county.
"You will find people establishing garages in villages but they do other things, the garages are just cover-ups," he said.
