Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has predicted a split in the ruling Jubilee Party before the 2022 general election.
Kamket says that the president Uhuru Kenyatta-led party will not survive to see the next polls.
Speaking on Citizen TV’s Day Break Show on Monday morning, the KANU legislator claimed that Jubilee is on its political ‘deathbed’ and it is a matter of time before it collapses.
“The internal feuds being experienced among Jubilee top leaders is a clear indication that the party is going to the dogs,” he said during the interview.
Kamket claimed Jubilee party’s troubles began when some of its top leaders started engaging in early 2022 campaigns.
“This is not the Jubilee of 2017, everything in the party seems to be going in a different direction and the party might not even survive to 2022,” the vocal legislator insisted.
The MP who is a close ally of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi further noted that Jubilee can only survive if its top leaders and members stop engaging in early 2022 succession debate.
He said the formation of 'Tanga Tanga' and 'Kieleweke' factions within the party is a clear sign that it is dead.
