The new hit, 'Mbari Ya Kimendero' by Muigai wa Njoroge on the state of the nation is now the subject of debate among many and could raise the political temperatures to greater heights.

It is more particularly to impact heavily on the Central and Rift Valley regions where succession politics started almost immediately after the swearing in of the current regime.

The song takes a direct dig at Deputy President William Ruto for his perceived 'role' in corruption scandals in the country.

The song is a 'path to morality that seeks to scuffle the character of the DP.'

He has however distanced himself from the claims that the song was created to engineer ethnicity.

“I am a man of God and I cannot publish a song that will evoke ethnic tension,” the musician told The Standard.

In the video, he has hit out at various leaders while praising the heroes of the nation that fought for independence.

It remains to be seen what the reaction will be with the original song having been corrupted and floated on social media platforms by what the musician says are haters.
