The wife of the president of the United States of America will visit Kenya in October.
Melania Trump made the announcement Wednesday at the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
She will also visit Ghana, Malawi, and Egypt in her trip to the African continent.
Making the announcement, Melania said that she was excited about the prospect of the visit to further her humanitarian causes.
This will be the first time that the U.S first lady will be making the trip to Kenya.
Her announcement comes just weeks after President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the White House where he had bilateral talks with President Trump.
Learning about the issues facing children in Africa will be at the front and centre of her visit, she revealed.
"I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history," she said.
