A middle-aged man is currently being held at Kisii Central police station for allegedly having sex with his friend's wife.

The incident happened on Monday evening at Jogoo in Kisii town, Kisii County. 

Confirming the incident, area OCS Eliud Kimwele said, Vincent Ombui was caught in the act with a married woman, Jennifer Kemunto inside a rental house in Jogoo area. 

"Neighbors living at the rental house spotted Ombui entering the woman's house at 7 pm after her husband who works as a night security guard left for work. The neighbors stormed the house and found the man naked in bed with Kemunto," he said.  

Kimwele said the neighbor roughed the man up, beat him before police officers who were on patrol rescued the suspect from the jaws of death. 

"Residents wanted to lynch Ombui but, luckily he was rescued by security officers who were on patrol. He was brought to the station and we are waiting for the woman's husband to record a statement before we can arraign the suspect in court," he noted. 

The OCS warned men against sleeping with married women.
