Dating has become a lively phenomenon in almost every university. While students have time for their books, they equally try to make time for their lovers.

Interestingly, you may never understand whether the girl who visits your neighbour is his lover or just a friend, but the following signs might just tell that they are indeed sharing the forbidden fruit:

Loud music

It’s common to find a sub-woofer system in four out of five male hostels. While you thought that it’s meant for the entertainment, there are other underlying purposes.

The volume knob goes high while these lovebirds engage in the act of the rod. The blasting sound makes it hard for neighbours to hear a damn thing except for music from the hostel.

Once the activity is done, the volume returns to normal. That is a clear indication that the room was busy.

Noisy spring bed

Many institutions have designed their rooms with old spring beds. When someone is lying or coming off the bed, they will make that irritating noise, but when those sounds are repetitive and spontaneous, it’s always an indication that the sacred activity is taking place.

Total silence than normal

It’s interesting why total silence would mean that people are "doing it". Because students are always skipping the noisy spring bed or making noise themselves, they resolve to throw the mattress on the floor so as no one will notice them.
