Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has noted that both President Uhuru Kenyatta, and Deputy President William Ruto should be blamed if the government fails.
In a video shared by the Daily Nation on Tuesday, Mandago urged the two leaders to respect the handshake, and remember their 2013 prayers and agreement that brought peace to Kenya.
"There are two people to blame if this country won't rise, Uhuru and Ruto. Both, before talking about Raila should remember where God removed them from in 2013 where they were facing cases at the ICC." Mandago noted.
He further urged the president and his deputy to work together, and challenged them to recall their first swearing-in at Kasarani, 2013 when they asked God for power.
"What has now changed? They want to abandon the blessings and work God gave them in 2013. If I was an elder, I would advice them to go for a retreat and talk," he added.
Addressing local leaders, Governor Manadago urged them to avoid politics of hatred and maintain peace.
