As the government implements 100% transition from primary to secondary, parents are running to secure slots in schools believed to be academic hotspots.

Here are three schools that parents will obviously run to admit their pupils come January going by their 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

Moi Kabarak High School

This is a private school located in Nakuru’s Rongai constituency. It is owned by the Moi family who run it with strict religious doctrines. If your kid got good marks in the 2018 KCPE and you have deep pockets, this is the school to bring him or her.

MKHS, as it is popularly known, has been a top academic giant. In the 2018 KCSE results, it was the top school.

Langalanga secondaryLangalanga secondary has been stamping its authority as a choice secondary school.

In 2017, it sent 150 students to campus and in 2018, 140 students attained the minimum grade for campus entry. This would be a choice school for parents with kids who performed well but unable to finance fees for ‘big’ schools.

Nakuru High school
