Speaking during the re-launch of his embattled record label on Wednesday the gospel artist lamented his loss.

“I lost 6 million when trying to manage my artiste and even execute a project. As song could cost me Kshs 450-500,000 but fewer returns and it is okay. So, in the midst of it all, I spent a lot,” Bahati told Kiss 100

The musician clarified that he is yet to recover his money.

Responding to questions regarding his record label which has made headlines lately for the wrong reasons, Bahati said that he has realized that "it is not an easy task to support others".

“God gave me a tough task. Supporting artists is a very daunting task. I see people saying things about me on social media saying that I should pay debts…If I had a debt I would be in court,” he said.

The youthful artist said that fans should understand that music production is an expensive adventure. He emphasized the fact that it is not a joke that he has encountered loses while building artists signed under his record label.

He also felt sorry about the fact that some artists are attacking him despite his generosity.

“I have helped people but when they talk most of them look for negative things. They never say thank you. But, you know ever since they have spoken, maybe if I had spoken God hangemwambia Weezdom one to speak. I was shocked about what Weezdom said because he is one of the first artists I signed when starting the label,” Bahati said.
