As security forces and armed civilians joined hands salvaging the nation from the hands of terrorists on Tuesday, one man, a foreigner could not go unnoticed.

The unidentified British Special Air Service (SAS) took it upon himself to save in rescuing innocent civilians trapped inside the Dusit complex.

He was captured on cameras armed in combat gear and heavily armed, complete with a modified Colt Canada Riffle, a Glock 9mm side weapon and a dagger for hand combat.

He was seen moving in and out of the premises, bringing with him a survivor each time in reinforcement to the Kenyan forces and the Kenya Red Cross.

The officer who is in the nation to train Kenyan special forces is said to have been out shopping when he caught wind of the siege and headed to 14 Riverside Drive to help out.

According to SAS veteran Chris Ryan, the trooper had his kit in the car and quickly grabbed it and availed himself to rescue fellow forces from the Kenyan side.

"He had his equipment in the car so when he went shopping in Nairobi.  When it all kicked off, he sprinted back and got kitted up before heading straight towards the fire-fight," he told the People Daily.

However, he had his face covered all the time.

The soldier joins the list of heroes who played a major role in the rescue of about 700 people who were in the building at the time. 21 others succumbed in the hands of the terrorists.
