Sharon Otieno, a Rongo University student who was on Tuesday killed over relationship issues can act as a lesson to some of us. Actually, this is not the first time we have heard a lady being heinously killed in a cold blood murder because of her relationship with so and so.
Many cases of such have been reported and recorded. Thus, as a campus student, you need to refrain from such a relationship with an immediate effect.
Here are the lessons learned from her death
1. We should avoid dating "sponsors" while in campus
One of the key suspects behind Sharon's death is speculated to be a sponsor, however, it has not yet been brought to light. But what we know is that her demise was a result of the relationship-related issue.
This should be a warning to some of us waylaying flings with sponsors. Honestly, it is a bad idea. Everything has its own time. As for now, just focus on your studies.
2. Life is too short
Following the death of Sharon, indeed, we can deduce that life is too short. She was only 24 years of age but she is no more. As a student, it's upto you to decide the kind of life you wanna live since some obvious vices can automatically send you to the grave.
3. Campus students need to be more careful
How can you be careful while on campus in the first place? Well, one way to be extra careful is by avoiding dating such "people."
You never know, something unusual might happen in the event of your relationship with such people. In layman's language, if you don't want to land in such cases, just be careful with the type of people you are flirting with and nothing else.
In fact, the best way is by shunning people who won't add value to your life.
