Nyangarama and his deputy Amos Nyaribo laid a foundation stone for the construction of proposed Nyamusi Level 3 Hospital in Nyamusi Sub-county on Thursday.

He said his government is committed to ensuring that Nyamira residents access affordable health care.

"I'm committed to bringing health services closer to the people of Nyamira who trusted and gave me their votes. My rivals need to join my camp for accelerated development across all corners of Nyamira County," Nyangarama said.

He spoke at the event.

Nyangarama disclosed that the facility will be a 40-bed capacity hospital.

He appealed to members of the public to be patient until the hospital's construction is completed.

Nyangarama warned the project's contractor against laziness stating that it must be completed within the stipulated time.

"Nyamira residents have a right to enjoy fruits of devolution and that is what I am exactly doing before my time elapses in 2022," he added.
