A woman from Geteri village, Etono in Kenyenya Kisii county escaped death from angry residents on Thursday morning after she was suspected of murdering her husband.
The bloody body of the deceased was found a few metres from their residential house on the roadside at around 6 am.
According to area Assistant chief, Mr. Kamau Nyaboga, the two who have been sleeping separate rooms in the same house have been having long term conflicts a move that might have led to the horrible inhuman incident.
"The two have been having family wrangles and as we know they have been sleeping separately in the same house. So today morning we found the body of the deceased on the roadside side with a pool of blood. We followed the drops and led us into the house they have been sleeping. In the house we came across bloody bed sheets, wheelbarrow which is suspected to have been used to move the body, basins and other house utensils," sadly said chief.
According to Kenyenya OCPD Mr. Philip Oyugi, the woman identified as Keziah Nyansiaboka who was rescued by Police from Kenyenya police station was arrested and currently held at Kenyenya police station as investigations commence.
"We moved to the scene urgently and arrested the suspected woman. She is currently at Kenyenya police custody and we have immediately launched investigations so that we can arrest more suspects if any," said Oyugi.
