Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria alongside four other members of parliament have left the country to Paris.
Noting in his official Facebook page on Sunday, Kuria revealed they are set to attend Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) meeting on Public Debt Management.
According to the controversial lawmaker, he hopes to learn a lot from the meeting as far as debt issues are concerned. This comes as the country suffers blow on huge debt especially from China.
"Looking forward to learning from OECD countries on how to balance between the demand for public debt, debt sustainability, and generational equity, that is how to ensure the current generation does not endanger future generations with profligate borrowing," noted Moses Kuria
According to Kuria who has declared his interest for presidential seats, 2022, the public debt in the country is currently about Sh5.8 trillion.
He further claimed the country is expected to pump Sh980 billion in debt servicing this year.
Accompanying him were; Minority Leader John Mbadi, Hon Paul Abuor (Rongo), Hon Florence Bore (Kericho) and Hon Gichuki Mugambi (Othaya).
This comes barely days after the government announced its plan to introduce the 1.5 per cent salary deduction for housing levy. The court, however, stopped it.
