Citizen Radio presenter and actor Davies Mwabili, commonly known by his stage name as Inspekta Mwala killed a pedestrian at Kaloleni in Kilifi County.
According to Kilifi police commander Patrick Okeri, Inspekta Mwala knocked and killed on spot a 35 years old man on Monday night.
At the time of the incidence, Mwale was driving Kaloleni town on Mazeras Highway.
The man who was crossing the road was hit by Mwala's car.
The police boss revealed that the famous actor was released on bail from the police cell but his vehicle is still being held at Kaloleni Police Station.
The body of the 35 years old man was taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary in Mombasa.
Not long ago, the actor was on the news for trying to forcefully kiss co-host, Melody Sinzore.
Were it not for another radio presenter, Jerida Andayi's intervention, Mwala could have done the unthinkable.
After his video went viral, Mwala bowed to pressure and came out to apologize to Melody.
"Sorry I will not repeat again. (Pole, sitarudia tena ),” said Mwala.
Mwala is among the oldest presenters at the Royal Media owned radio station, while Melody is among the youngest presenters.
“Actually I respect and appreciate you as a colleague and a veteran in this industry so we will maintain respect and propagate peace. (Actually, mimi nakuheshimu na kuku-appreciate kama mfanyikazi mwenza kama gwiji ambaye amekuwepo kwa industry kwa mda mrefu so tutadumisha tu heshima na tutadumisha amani)," he added.
