A cat is a common sight in many Kenyan homes. However, there are some behaviours that your cat may show at home and you don't know what they mean. You sometimes feel angry with it and even beat it for doing certain things that irritate you. But before you hit your cat understand its habits as Cat Behaviour explains:
Twitchy tail
When your cat stands with a twitchy tail, it means that it is excited and it is very much focused. This happens mostly when it is hunting.
Blinks slowly
When your cat blinks slowly, it means that it is comfortable and feels calm near or around you. It may also be a sign that it is sleepy.
Kick things down
Whenever you see your cat throwing things down from time to time, it shows that it is upset and it is given the attention it needs.
Poking nose against your legs
When your cat pokes its wet nose against your legs, it shows that it is in love with you.
Lowered tail
Cats rarely lower their tail and once you see your cat's tail low, just know it has messed somewhere and it scared and feels guilty.
Meows slowly
This is a way of saying hello to you especially when you were not around the whole day.
Licks itself
Whenever you see a cat licking itself, it is a sign of controlling its body temperature. Its saliva makes its temperature optimum.
Pointed ears
Pointed ears show that your cat is very alert. The cat is listening carefully to its surrounding.
