10 other passengers were injured during the accident and rushed to Nakuru county hospital.
The accident involved a Nissan matatu that rammed into a lorry which had been parked on the road after it developed mechanical problems.
The driver of the lorry said he was working on his lorry when he had a bang.
"I checked and saw that a Nissan had hit my lorry from behind. I asked the driver, who was not injured, what was wrong with him as I had put live savers on the road. He said he didn't see it," the lorry driver said.
