Religious leaders have raised concerns over the recent mysterious deaths of young people in the country.
Led by Bishop John Ngunjiri of Gospel Evangelistic Churches of Kenya, the men of cloth said parents should take their role of guiding children.
Speaking in Waseges Ward, Nakuru during a family thanksgiving ceremony organized by Bishop Jonah Kariuki, the clergy said it was so worrying for society to continue losing young people in mysterious ways.
“Whatever is happening in the country is worrying as we see lives of young people being lost. The government must step in and we as a church we should also pray very hard,” said Bishop Ngunjiri.
Bishop Ngunjiri also took an issue with Kibra MP’s move to call for the legalisation of bhang.
“We should not even think of legalizing bhang as that is one way of killing the young generation,” he said.
