The flooded rivers also found their way into a buffalo spring game reserve leading to the evacuation of visitors using choppers. The floods also cut the bridge linking the Shambani and Kipsing area and others.

According to the residents, they claimed that there is no help from getting from the government.

"Right now the rain has rained, it has swept away the bridge and up to now, there is no help we are getting that can help this side. ("Wakati huu mvua imenyesha, imebeba huo daraja na saa hizi hakuna huduma yoyote tunapata inasaisia upande huu," one of the residents said.

The residents also claim that the bridge is the one being used by the children when schools reopen and even right now when somebody falls sick there isn't any other way that they can help her or him with because there is no bridge anymore.

Heavy rain that has been experienced in the country has caused massive damages in different parts of the country. Like in the recent incident of landslide in West Pokot county where over 50 people died is still fresh in peoples mind.
