Another suspect linked to the abduction and murder of a female prison warder was on Tuesday arraigned before a Nakuru Court.
Raymond Kiplimo becomes the second suspect to appear before the court in connection to the disappearance and murder of Caroline Jepchirchir, a Nakuru Women’s Prison warder.
Jepchirchir’s body was on April 10 found dumped in a thicket at Githioro village in Subukia, Nakuru County.
Kiplimo was arrested by the police after investigations revealed that he was connected to the disappearance of the deceased.
During the case hearing on Tuesday, the police asked Nakuru Chief Magistrate Josephat Kalo for more time to complete their investigations into the incident.
The granted the police more time and ordered that the accused be detained for 8 days to allow the police to conclude their investigations.
Last week, another suspect, Joseph Kairu, was arraigned in court after it emerged that he was one of the people that had been seen with Jepchirchir before she disappeared on April 3, 2019.
A postmortem examination conducted last week by a government pathologist at the Nakuru War Memorial Hospital mortuary revealed that Jepchirchir was strangled and her body had blood clots on the neck, tongue, nose and both hands.
The case will be mentioned on April 24.
