The county boss who has been operating from his office at the Nyanza Regional Headquarters is set to relocate to a new one at City Hall.

According to the Standard, the Governor is expected to move in to his new office this week.

At the new office initially used by mayors, renovations to enable it suit its new and more powerful occupant are already complete, with state of the art facilities already fitted.

The premises has as well been painted afresh, with the officials already prepared to welcome the Governor to his new center of operation.

However, its not clear why the Governor wants to move out, months after refusing to adopt the office used by his predecessor Jack Ranguma on the 9th floor of City Hall.

But according to the Governor's Director of Communication Alloyce Ager, Nyong'o's move has been informed by his need to be closer to the people.

''The governor has always wanted to be near the people. When he assumed office at prosperity, he found nineth floor far to access,'' he is quoted.

He added that old members of the community were having it hard accessing his current office, forcing him to opt for the next option.

"With no multiple lifts at prosperity. It has not been possible for elderly people and those with disabilities to easily walk up the stairs to see governor,'' he added.
