This follows an interview with  Citizen TV's Francis Gachuri where he was asked to paint a picture of what happened inside and details regarding the rescue mission.

Githaiga told Gachuri that just because he was out, it would be unfair of him to give such details on live broadcast when other people were still trapped inside.

The reporter persuaded him but he reiterated that it wouldn't be wise to give such details because security personnel were still on rescue mission.

"To our viewers paint a picture of the whole scenario or what exactly happened," Gachuri posed.

He declined to divulge details despite the reporter pleading with him.

"The police are evacuating people one at a time, but at the moment it would not be fair for me who just got out to try and paint a picture of where anyone else would be or what the situation could be because they have family out there," Githaiga said.

Kenyans on social media have acknowledged his concerns for others.
