Kisii County 2022 governor hopeful Joash Maangi has insisted that he is not worried about 2022 general elections.
According to Maangi who is also the Kisii County Deputy Governor, he is focused on serving the people of Kisii County who elected his boss Governor James Ongwae.
"2022 is too far for me to start seeking support from locals. I am committed and working closely with my boss to deliver the campaign promises. Gubernatorial aspirants should wait for 2022," he noted.
He condemned a section of political losers loitering across the county spreading propaganda about the county leadership.
Maangi said residents didn't vote for his boss because of the party which was sponsoring him.
"Locals didn't vote for ODM party as most of the political losers are claiming. Ongwae and I were elected because of the good development ideologies we sold to the people during the last year's polls," said Maangi.
He confirmed that they could have lost in the last year's polls but, because of the good development record, they were re-elected.
Maangi maintained that impunity won't be condoned in the county.
