A middle-aged man has gone into hiding after he engaged in illicit sex with brother's daughter on Wednesday in Nyamache shopping center, Kisii County.
The girl’s mother, Roseline Omwoyo, said the suspect, Rodgers Mbera, came to visit them when before committing the shameful act.
"I left him in the house with my 16-year-old daughter to buy vegetable and prepare lunch. I was shocked when I returned and found him in the act with her at the sitting room while to the door was open,” she said.
Omwoyo said her husband, a matatu driver had gone to work when the incident happened.
Area chief, Thomas Ongeri, said the man fled to an unknown destination.
“The man is not at his home a clear indication that he has gone into hiding after the shameful incident. Members of the public should cooperate and ensure he is arrested,” he said.
He said the law will not spare anyone engaging in illicit and unprotected sex with minors.
