Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has said that the difference between him and his Siaya counterpart James Orengo is that he speaks the truth all the time and not just in court.
Murkomen, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, said that Orengo is a good lawyer but he doesn’t speak the truth most of the time unless he finds himself in court.
“What Orengo said is the truth. That’s exactly what Murkomen said. Here is the difference; Orengo says the truth only in court. Murkomen says the truth all the time,” he said.
Orengo has been under fierce criticism from Murkomen and other leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto after he unveiled his plan to impeach the second in command.
According to Orengo, Ruto has been involved in many corruption deals since he took over the post and doesn’t deserve to be in power.
He has insisted that he will push for his removal from office before 2022.
ODM party has, however, distanced itself from the impeachment motion against Ruto.
Ruto has also rubbished the proposal, insisting that he is the only DP in power at the moment.
