Former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi will unveil a new outfit that would 'fight for the rights of Kenyans', Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi has said.
With several politicians realigning themselves along 'Team Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke', Mr Mudavadi is yet to take sides ahead of 2022 presidential elections.
Team Kieleweke is perceived to be against DP William Ruto's candidature while Tanga Tanga supports his bid. But according to Mr Agoi, Mr Mudavadi will form a new outfit.
"We are neither Kieleweke nor Tanga Tanga that are fighting over sharing of resources among themselves," said Mr Agoi.
He went on: "Team Komboa Kenya will fight for the welfare of Kenyans. We will be agitating for the fight against corruption and jailing of corruption suspects. We want proceeds of corruption be recovered and spent on funding the Big Four agenda," he added.
According to Agoi, the current outfits have failed ti address social-economic challenges the country is facing. He says Team Komboa Kenya will sensitise people about their economic rights and development.
“Unemployment is on the rise and yet we have been told our economy has grown. Our camp is keen on ensuring that the youth get their fair share of the grown economy,” he said.
“There have been concerns that the impact of economic growth has not been felt among Kenyans, and no jobs have been created as a result of the same, raising eyebrows.”
Mudavadi is likely to contest for Presidency. In 2017, he was chief campaigner of ODM leader Raila Odinga. However, he has maintained that he's not interested in getting government job.
