The online onslaught between Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo and Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga escalated on Monday, further causing anxiety within ODM party.
A bitter competition among the two has emerged in recent weeks as the race to succeed embattled governor Cyprian Awiti intensified.
On her Facebook page, Ms Odhiambo, a third term legislator, dismissed Wanga as an 'incompetent leader', questioning the manner in which she has utelised NGAAF.
"I will not however support ineffective and exploitative leadership, even by a woman. Gladys would be the worst mistake Homabay would make for choice of Governor.
"Her style of leadership is abbrasive, divisive and manipulative. I hereby declare you do not have my support. You can unleash all the online warriors in heaven and on earth but it only makes my resolve firm. I do not support you, period. But through one of her aide Philip Nyamai, Wanga dismissed Ms Odhiambo's assertion, adding that her NGAAF kitty that serves eight constituencies is far much less that Ms Odhiambo's millions for a single constituency.
She also accuses Ms Odhiambo of divisive leadership, pointing out recent remarks that portrayed her as an outsider.
"The tantrums of one Millie Mabona is because she never foresaw any woman rising above her in Nyanza politics. In her pitiable imagination, she believes she has been the best thing that has ever happened in Nyanza.
"Millie's unfortunate, childish and bitter remarks on the person of Hon. Gladys Wanga is out of sheer jealousy. Millie's support is not as important as that of electorates. While Wanga has already declared interest, Ms Odhiambo is said to be working closely with Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma.
