Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has called for unity among Kenyans in the ongoing national healing initiative led by president Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Posting on his Facebook page on Sunday, the Senator noted that the unity between the two national leaders is solely based on their vision for a united nation, stating that there are no political motives behind their reconciliation.
He added that leaders motive for the inclusion in the joint deal is clear, saying that nobody is after personal political benefit from the surprise reunion.
''Stop politicizing everything.This could be genuine that opposition leader did not go into the handshake for political positions for either himself. He may not be interested in anything but this national unity and full country's recovery ,'' he posted.
The senator earlier urged Kenyans to avoid casting any speculations in constitution amendment.
'' Let Kenyans remain calm on constitution matters. We will tackle everything step by step till every citizen is satisfied ,'' the senator had earlier he said.
