This is after he realized that many students are staying at home for the lack of school fee despite schools opening several weeks ago.

He said that the county has allocated Sh131 million for bursaries which will be disbursed soon after application.

"I dont like the way our young people are wasting their time due to the fact that they have been sent home to collect school fees.

"As county government, we have allocated money which should be used for bursaries,"said Nyagarama.

The ODM governor cautioned education officers handling bursaries against fraud, adding that his government will not hesitate to take actions.

Bursary forms have been dispatched to the 20 wards with MCAs facilitating applications along with county education officials.
