Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka narrated the challenges National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders faced as they struggled to deliver the nation from what they believed to be bad leadership in 2017.
Speaking on Sunday at Isinya in Kajiado East during the thanksgiving ceremony of Wiper party official Joshua Olouwasa, Kalonzo said the killing of opposition supporters during protests were among the "mamba’s" that made it hard for them to reach "The Promised Land".
He also recalled how several powerful politicians were injured as they led demonstrations across different parts of the country.
“Kenyans were killed and maimed during demonstrations… Hon. Robert Mbui and Hon. Anthony Oluoch broke their legs during the struggle, those are the crocodiles we are talking about,” said Mr. Musyoka.
The Ukambani political kingpin also dismissed speculations that he has gotten into a deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the 2022 polls.
Kalonzo maintained that he is determined in building the nation following the long electioneering period.
He urged other leaders to back the current regime before the end of Uhuru’s term in office.
His remarks come after Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana among other leaders poked holes into his handshake with President Uhuru.
The leaders demanded that Kalonzo should come clear on the terms they agreed on with the Head of State.
