Kisii central ward MCA Kepha Mogaka has accused Kisii County Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission officers of being corrupt and tolerating evil within his ward after it failed to arrest leaders who have grabbed land from residents.
Speaking at Grace Revival Church in Kisii town on Sunday during a special offering in support of the church, Mogaka said leaders who were in power previously grabbed land and now are building illegal structures within Kisii town.
"Leaders who were in power in the past have grabbed land from residents. If you walk to Nyanchwa land has been taken away by greedy tycoons. They used their power to be authorized to build illegally others building along the road. We want the officers who signed those documents to be arrested," said Mogaka.
Mogaka now wants EACC officers from head office to investigate the matter and arrest all those who were involved in grabbing public land and from powerless innocent citizens.
"Kisii EACC officers are too corrupt. We can't report to them because if you give them a report, they find a good opportunity to receive a bribe and they can not help us. Let the national government send officers from head office and help us in resolving this problem," said Mogaka.
