Kitutu Chache South's Richard Onyonka and his Mumias West counterpart Johnson Naicca were involved in a shouting match when the former demanded answers on state of roads in 290 constituencies from the minister.

And even before Macharia responded, Naicca interjected and tried to shield the minister from responding to the questions.

Irked by the move, Onyonka accused Naicca of 'shielding impunity' as the argument degenerated almost to a fight.

Backed by Dagoretti North's Simba Arati, Onyonka questioned why construction of at least 20 kilometers road in each constituency was due to take place in some sections of the country.

"I have a right to ask questions and get answers from the CS. He must answer unless you have some interest," barked Onyonka.

The session also saw MPs pick war with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who they accused also of shielding the minister.

MPs threatened to throw him out for defending the CS who they accused of incompetence.
