Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has asked Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to keep off his county affairs.
Speaking on Thursday as he toured Kawala area to commission various development projects, Kibwana accused Kalonzo of using some leaders in the county to frustrate his leadership.
He wondered why he was being frustrated by the former Vice President.
"I have been silent, I have not spoken about Kalonzo at all and he should be told to stop sending some people to frustrate me. We respect him but if he doesn't respect us, we won't respect him," said Kibwana.
He also noted that Kalonzo should acknowledge the fact that Makueni has given him more support compared to the other two Ukambani counties.
"In Makueni is where Kalonzo got support and he should acknowledge that. in Kitui and Mwingi, Kalonzo's support is very low. In Machakos they have rejected him," said the governor who also pointed out that it was time Kalonzo considered supporting another candidate from the region since he had failed to deliver the presidency to the region.
Kibwana revealed that he will be sending a delegation to the Wiper party leader over the need for another presidential candidate to be supported from the region.
Kalonzo is widely expected to vie for the presidency in 2022 with another Ukambani leader Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua also having declared his interest for the top seat in the country.
