Opposition chief Raila Odinga has said he is not worried by the current political moves of Deputy President William Ruto.
Raila who spoke on Citizen television on Tuesday during an interview said he is not worried because what he agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta when they met at Harambee House on March 9 on how to fix problems bedevilling Kenya and Kenyans and not the 2022 politics.
Although he did not out-rightly hit out at Ruto because of his early campaigns, Raila said he and Uhuru are keen on fixing Kenya's problems first before politicking.
Ruto has been accused of kicking off early campaign ahead of 2022 although election regulations clearly say that it's only the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) which can declare when campaigns begin.
Ruto has been busy traversing the country and forging alliances with like-minded leaders who he is optimistic he will form an alliance with ahead of 2022.
"It is to early to put the country in the campaign mood," Raila said during the interview hosted by Hussein Mohamed.
"We are trying our best to restrain our members (ODM) from engaging in early 2022 campaigns," he added.
There is speculation that Raila may vie for the presidency in 2022. However, this will only happen if the Constitution is amended to review the presidential age limit to allow him to contest for the country's top seat.
Raila is already pushing for a Constitutional amendment.
