For starters, Kondele is the most famous estate in the Lakeside City, with various economic activities going on until late in the night.

Kondele is also known as the place where men flock at night to get services from members of oldest profession (prostitutes).

“I just want to welcome you to Africities in November 2021. It is a big thing for us; it is a big thing for you. I am quite sure that you have seen signs that we are ready for the Africities, one of them is here,” said the Governor.

“The other one is the 24-hour-economy in Kondele which I invite you to. Many things happen there, avoid the others, and use some,” he added amid giggles and laughter from a section of delegates.

The Legislative Summit brings together Senators and Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) from across the country.

This year’s theme is "Accelerating Devolution: Assessing the progress and addressing the gaps in policy and legislation".
