Makori, the first born in a family of eight, dropped out of school in his secondary level due to lack of finances and started goat keeping in 2014 to help his parents in supporting the family.

"I started rearing goats for both milk and meat. It all started with one daily goat which I was gifted by my late grandfather," Makori said.

With passion and dedication in his business, Makori ensured that his goat multiplied into his current 50 goats.

"I started with one goat and they multiplied to fifty. I sell the goat milk at Sh75 per litre and Sh5,000 per goat for meat," he said.

With all these accumulations, Makori makes Sh45,000 monthly which has enabled him support his family fully including paying his two brothers' school fees.

"My business makes me good money which motivates me alot. I am now focussing on upgrading to cattle keeping," he said.

He advises the youth to do something unique to earn other than depending on white collar job especially in the current high rate of unemployment.

"Be your own boss. It's the best thing ever," Makori concluded.
