Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa on Wednesday toured all the constituencies making up the larger Kisumu county.

Echesa traversed all the seven constituencies, in line with the deployment of Cabinet Secretaries in supervising the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.

The second leg of the Joint Cabinet national exam monitoring Exercise saw Echesa tour 14 schools in Seme, Nyakatch, Muhoroni, Kisumu Central, Kisumu East, Kisumu West and Nyando sub-counties.

He lauded both the Ministry of Education and the National Examination Council for reportedly conducting the examinations in a spotless way.

"Proceeded with the 2nd leg of the Joint Cabinet National exam monitoring exercise in @KisumuCountyKE .Managed to visit 14 schools in the 7 sub-Counties of Kisumu(Ksm East ,West& central ,seme,Nyando,Nyakach & Muhoroni) .@ExamsCouncil and it’s parent Ministry are doing a good job," he tweeted.

This comes at a time when the examinations are expected to enter their fourth day on Thursday.

Similarly, other members of the cabinet took part in supervising examinations during the concluded Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.

Unlike the longer KCSE exams, KCPE which goes for only 3 days ended on Thursday last week.
