Speaking at a funds drive in favour of 400 women groups drawn from the six wards in Sabatia, Mudavadi said that he is only prepared to work with leaders who want to transform the lives of Kenyans and those who want to use their positions for political gain.

He insisted that working with the second in command will be one of the gravest mistakes he can make before 2022, adding that he is a man with a vision to change lives of millions through good deeds.

He divulged that his mission at the moment is uniting Kenyans, adding that President Uhuru Kenyatta needs support to achieve the Big Four Agenda and power sharing is none of them.

He also said that the proposal by the second in command is cheeky.

"Ruto's proposition is cheeky and ridiculous and cannot sell. No serious Kenyan can buy into that gimmick," said the Amani leader, as quoted by Daily Nation.

Ruto, who is considered as one of the front runners in the race for power, had asked Western leaders including Mudavadi to woo votes to his camp as he seeks to replace President Kenyatta.

Ruto has already bagged the support of some leaders from the region including former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
