A baby boy who was found dumped in a bush at Mlango along Eldoret-Kapsabet road just two days before Christmas is now in safe hands.
The man who found the baby, Moffat Bitok on Monday said he had handed him over to Mother House Centre.
According to a post on his official Facebook account, Bitok expressed his gratitude to all that helped him with ideas on how best to handle the newborn.
He said he made the decision to hand over the child as no one come up to claim him.
"May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who commented, helped and directed me. Now as I am communicating, innocent baby who I found dumped is in safe hands," said Bitok in the post.
"I decided to hand over the baby to the right organisation after discussing thoroughly with a number of people," he added.
The baby boy was allegedly dumped by his mother immediately after his birth. He was found crying helplessly in the evening on Sunday at Mlango area in Kapseret along Eldoret-Kapsabet road.
