A Nominated Jubilee Party Senator Millicent Omanga has dismissed claims that she has turned herself to be a twilight girl.
Omanga who showed up during the Kisii County End Year Dinner Party at Kisii School on Monday dressed skimpily said she is woman who has been at the front line championing for the good morals among girls.
"Dressing in a short dress doesn't qualify me to be a twilight girl. Women should not be seen to be commercial sex workers anytime they dress in short clothes," said Mrs. Omanga.
She challenged male politicians not to take advantage of the women's dressing code to insult and abuse them.
The vocal senator challenged more women to come out to seek leadership roles in the society.
"Women should not shy off competing with men. It is high time women should come out and give men a stiff competition in seeking leadership roles," she added.
Mrs Omanga urged elected leaders from Gusii community to focus on service delivery and stop engaging in divisive politics which will derail development in the region.
"The electorates deserves development and not being divided along political lines," she stated.
