A businessman has been murdered in Matungulu, Machakos County.
George Mutuku's body was found dumped at a market in Katwanyaa area on Friday morning.
Area chief Wellington Ndawa confirmed the incident.
Ndawa said the body was discovered by locals who later informed him of the incident.
"I received a call from one of the locals in the morning that a lifeless body had been found lying in Katwanyaa market. I went there and confirmed," Ndawa said.
He said the deceased operates a hotel in the area.
Ndawa said the body was found dumped behind the deceased's hotel by unknown assailants.
"Yes the man is a well-known businessman, he has a hotel in the market," Ndawa told this writer on the phone.
He said the body had no visible injuries but his clothes had been removed.
"He had no underpants, but no visible injuries. I hope that the police will unravel the mystery surrounding his murder," he said.
Ndawa said he notified the police who removed the body to Kangundo Level 4 Hospital mortuary.
