This comes after Munya failed to honor court summons to shed more light on why he failed to pay Former Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Chief Executive Officer Fanuel Odede his four-month salary.

On Thursday, Odede decided to seek court redress after Munya allegedly failed to honor an order in regard to the payment of the salaries.

The complainant said that Munya didn’t have good reasons on why he failed to appear in court over the matter.

“Peter Munya has to be found guilty of contempt of this court orders as there has been established beyond reasonable doubt,” he said, as quoted by Citizen.

Odede told the court that Munya deserves to be arrested after he failed to adhere to court orders issued last December.

He has also faulted acting Chief Accounting Officer George Makatelo for colluding with Munya in frustrating him.

Munya has, however, insisted that the order to pay Odede is not enforceable because he was not working during the period he wants to be paid his dues.

In December last year, Justice Hellen Wasilwa directed Munya not to replace Odede. The CS had nominated George Makatelo to take over the post.

The governor is now fighting to clear his name after he was faulted for unfair dismissal.
